Excel Introduction and Basics: A Learning Session at SVNIT Surat On 10 October 2026, I had the privilege of conducting a session on Excel Introduction and Basics at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. It was a wonderful opportunity to share practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel with students and encourage them to explore how this widely used tool can support their academic work and future careers. Learning Excel Through Practical Examples The session introduced the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel and its applications in everyday work. We explored the importance of spreadsheets, basic formulas, data organization, and practical ways to use Excel more effectively. My focus was to make the session simple, interactive, and relevant to real-world requirements. Excel is not just a tool for entering data; it can also help us organize information, perform calculations, analyze results, and make better decisions.
